Ingredients

1 X 3 second spray Always Fresh Simply Canola Spray
|
|
|
1 1/3 cup (s) plain wholemeal flour, (200g)
|
|
|
1 tbs (s) baking powder
|
|
|
1 tsp (s) Master Foods Herbs and Spices Mixed Spice
|
|
3/4 cup (s) rolled oats, (60g)
|
|
|
1/3 cup (s) brown sugar, (65g)
|
|
2 small apple, cored, peeled and diced
|
|
1 whole whole egg
|
|
|
1 tbs (s) olive oil
|
|
1/3 cup (s) skim plain yoghurt, (100g)
|
|
1/2 cup (s) skim milk, (125ml)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly spray a 12-hole, 1/3 cup (80ml) capacity muffin tin with oil.
- Sift the flour, baking powder and mixed spice into a large mixing bowl. Pour the remaining husks (from flour) into the mixing bowl, too. Reserve 1 tbs oats. Add remaining oats, brown sugar and chopped apples to the mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, using a fork, beat together egg, oil, yoghurt and milk. Add to flour mixture and stir until just combined. Spoon evenly into prepared tin and sprinkle with the reserved oats. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
