125 g raw almonds, slivered
2 tsp olive oil
3 clove(s) fresh garlic, minced
8 cup(s) green beans, trimmed
1/2 cup(s) chicken stock, (125ml)

Place almonds in a large, dry frying pan over medium heat. Cook until nuts are golden brown, shaking pan frequently, about 2 to 4 minutes. Remove nuts from pan and set aside.
Heat oil in the same pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add beans and sauté for another minute. Add stock to pan, cover and cook until beans are crisp-tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to coat. Remove from heat and stir in toasted almonds. Serve.
