I commented to the OH a few days ago when I saw the ad on tv. I wonder if they will stop making it? It can't be good publicity!

How many points would it be?

With all the obesity in Australia alone I am amazed that they would even think of making something this disgustingly unhealthy. Against popular belief, Hungry Jacks isnt and never has been a 'Healthy Choice'.

Hi,
I have been seeing this burger all over the televion and print news today and was surprised to see a report that said since the advertisments and news reports have been released the sales of the burger have increased. I guess people are curious.

I am so disgusted at this burger being released! With Australia's obesity epidemic, fast food companies should not be allowed to bring out foods such as this!

What maginifies this problem is that Channel 10 between 5pm and 10pm is saturated with Hungry Jac's ads!

I was commenting to my partner last night that the Government should bring legislation in to restrict what fast food companies introduce, based on their nutritional information.

Given the statistics of the burger, I would say that it is a prime candidate for such restrictions!

OMG... how absolutely DISGUSTING!!!

You could have an absolute BANQUET of healthy foods for 24pts!!

Thank goodness we "get it".. feel sorry for those who don't :(

I'm embarassed to say that the family and I went to Hungry Jacks last week, and I dared my hubby to give the Quad burger a go, and he ate it without blinking an eye. Probably because the bun and burger patties are the smaller one's from their cheeseburgers, not whoppers, but still I know, 32pts. HOLY COW!!!!

I'm also embarassed to say that I threw my healthy choices out the window and tried the double version of these stack burgers, purely because I love double cheeseburgers AND it had BBQ Sauce, my all time weakness. It was really YUMMY!!!!!! I know I'm bad :(

However, I don't think Hungry Jacks intended people to eat these burgers on a regular basis, it's just something for a limited time and a bit of a gimmic aimed at the younger male consumers. HELL, I've been at Maccas before now and some young guys were ordering quarter pounders with 4 patties and unfortunately they have to make whatever the customers want - but this kind of burger has been around WELL before Hungry Jacks brought these out, and it will probably continue even after they discontinue this promotion.

The young one's do these kinds of things to try and impress and outdo their mates, it's very sad really, but a reality.

Thou I do understand those that have a problem with Hungry Jacks advocating such excessive burgers. I'm just glad we don't have the super size obsession America have. You should have seen an example on the news of one multi stack hamburger (The "Bypass" I think it was called) from a place called "HEART ATTACK". Now seriously that's irresponsible. But it's a free world where we are allowed to make our own choices.

Cheers.

Tracy.

I agree with you Tracy. The burger looks gross, and I wouldn't go there without the mother of all hangovers to egg me on, but I don't think it's up to HJ's to be responsible for what people eat. We all make our own choices and education, not regulation, is the key.

To paraphrase Craig Harper, there is a mass of unhealty options and those options do not stop with the quad burger. There will be more pizzas, more burgers, more donuts, drugs, cigarettes etc etc. Unfortunately some people will continute to use and abuse them. No doubt we would love to live in a junk food free world but it isn't going to happen. We need to focus on what really determines our fitness or fatness: US!
